Biomagnetism

Biomagnetism deals with the registration and analysis of magnetic fields which are produced by organ systems in the body.

This method is applied e.g. in Neurology and Cardiology to investigate normal physiological function as well as to develop new and more effective diagnostic procedures.

At the Grönemeyer Institute project are planned and conducted in the areas of

  • Coronary Artery Disease
  • Prenatal Diagnostics
  • Peripheral Nerve Activity
  • Gastroenterological Processes

The goal is to achieve a better understanding of the underlying physiological processes and to develop new noninvasive procedures in these areas.
